I've had a request for info about creating your own Google Maps.
First you need a Google Account. Open
http://www.google.co.uk
Top right hand corner of window -
Sign In - click on it
"Sign in on the right or
create one for free using just an email address and password you choose"
Click on "
create one for free" - follow the instructions.
Once you have a Google account. Open "
Maps"
Left hand column - click on "
My Maps"
Click on "
Create new map"
Title Bar - enter a name for your map
Description - whatever.........
Privacy & sharing settings -
Public - for everyone to see or
Unlisted - limited to who you choose.
If you want people to have the ability to edit your map - click on "Collaborate"
Remember to click "Save" when you make changes.
Remember to click "Done" at the end of your session.

If you want to save/edit the map
http://tiny.cc/Greenholme_Mills - click on this link, Google Maps opens, click Sign In - enter your email address & password (if your not already signed in) - then click on Save to My Maps. Once its in your Google account you can edit it at your leisure. Remember to click "Save" when you make changes to it.
