I'm with spyglass on this one, if what you call harassing and threatening is needed to get people to understand what used to be called plain common sense and which now seems to be widely absent, then great, the parking on Prospect Road is quite unbelievable.
I have to say it is far better on Sandholme around the school since the "please don't park on pavements" notices went up, but there are still some locals and tradesmen who think the natural place for cars or vans is blocking a pavement.

steve219 and BurleyOwl thanks for the support. It has been just as bad over recent days although I did not note the numbers as the forum was down. However I did notice the previously mentioned black Renault Modus Reg No HN 57 YUL was in evidence. I dont think people realise the danger they are causing because they are so intent on their commute. I have suggested the yellow lines be extended but nothing seems to happen. I know it sounds melodramatic but I genuinely think someone will die here eventually.

Might I ask when this problem first arose to the extent it is a large topic on the forum? Also is there any connection with recent developments in the village? Prior to those developments are there any of you out there able to remember how many vehicles would be parked at the station and not neighbouring roads.

I can recall that R Jefferies & Son Tranport used to park some of their HGV vehicles in the car park when they were based in Burley but also in those days there were far less car owners.
