Hi
Have just signed up for a studio class 10-pass at this new Pilates studio just round from Brook Street. It's amazing, and the equipment is fantastic looking. There seems to be so many different exercises to do, I don't think boredom will be an issue this time. There are only 3 of us in the studio so we are all doing different things, on different bits of equipment. I have a back problem and one of the others had knee problems and it all seemed to be just for each of us. Kirstin, the instructor understands what is wrong with us and is making sure we do things properly - I have great hopes that this time my back will get better, at least less painful. Nearly forgot, the studio is Pure Pilates, website http://www.purepilatesilkley.com

Pilates is actually a gentle form of exercise - you would normally pay around a couple of quid at a class in a leisure centre or local church hall etc or the classes are free if your with a gym - this place charges more than a gym would charge per month!!!

Some people really do have more money than sense!

Ah, like that tie chee our chinese friends do? :ugeek:

Living on Millionares Row, as we do, brass is as rare as Nat's west.
Looks like another outlet with little research experience on who has
it in Ilkla and who doesn't. :-D

not quite like that, its a gentle form of strengthening exercise.

Very good it is too - but certainly not worth those prices!! :-o

Like pulling pints at Bar T!

Will look it up on the Net.

I wonder if there are special rates for the over sixties?

For me it's money well spent! Try comparing the prices of a session at Pure to a private session with a personal trainer or even an ostepoath or physio. Pilates at a leisure centre, church hall or as part of a gym membership doesn't quite compare! If you don't believe me go see for yourself.

A good teacher is a good teacher no matter where they are based.

Just because they charge an arm and a leg doesn't mean they are good at their job. Will pass on that offer thanks, I don't really have money to burn. (be nice tho)
If it suits you then go for it - unless you are the actual owner?? Then good luck on your venture!
