Anyone know who's switching on the Christmas lights this year??

And what time? I thought the poster on way into village said 4.30pm but the diary online says 4pm-ish!

According to the Ilkley Gusset - its newsreader Kate Walby & the time is indeed 4.30pm on Saturday 27th November.
Main Street will be closed from noon onwards.

awww I wanted to come to this as I have always missed it and now I am going to miss it again!

Hope its a great success - I always think the lights look great around Burley, the people involved do a brilliant job every year!

So who was it then? Nipped into the Bandstand cafe thingy for a cuppa, and missed the switch on!

I might be imagining the link, but ever since the Christmas lights went on there's been a beeping (like an alarm) in the middle of town, that goes on all night, but seems to stop during the day. Anybody know what it is? (Even if it's completely non-Christmas lights related). It's incredibly irritating.
