I find it a little crazy that a topic on forum censorship is locked without resolution being reached, whilst the topic which is apparently the source of all the trouble remains open.

I have had my say on this matter, although I expect I will get 'Flash harried' and my posts removed.

It would have been nice to see what other users had to say.

Not out of any wish to "inflame " the situation, but just so opinions can be stated by all on this.

I think Matt responded very clearly and sensibly in the locked topic, and I think he locked the topic at the right point. There is nothing more to say. I would suggest that the same is true for this new thread.

Indeed so. Nabbers, rules are rules, please don't try to work around them. This discussion has nowhere further to go.

Further to this, Nabbers has PM'd me asking to be removed from the forum, I have therefore banned his account at his own request.

Further to the above it has been pointed out to me that the term 'banned' is a little unfair when people ask to be removed at their own request. 'banning' accounts is the tool provided by the forum software for doing this, however I recogise the term could be inflammatory. I've therefore changed the name of the usertype to make clear that 'banned' does not necessarily mean someone has dome something contrary to the terms of use - only that their account is no longer active, for whatever reason.
