Please note that due to recent problems with a banned user re-registering and posting under other names, and a spam post by an online pharmacy that got through the filters, I've changed the moderation settings for the forum.
New users will now be in the 'members' group, with certain restrictions on file uploads and posting urls, and posts by new members will have to be pre-moderated.
Once users have posted a number of posts and are clearly not spam etc. they will automatically move into the 'active members' group which has fulll member permissions.
My apologies that this may lead to a short delay in posts from new members appearing on the forum.

Alternatively could there be a notice (with link to this topic) on the index page of the site, so new members understand why their posts don't immediately appear on the forum.
