On the 28th April 2011 I was walking along the pavement in Brook Street Ilkley and tripped over a flagstone near the zebra crossing. Over twelve months ago an elderly lady did the same and the incident reported to Bradford UDC. NOWT HAS BEEN DONE! Otherwise I would not be typing this missive nor be in acute pain from stretched tendons.
Ilkley so we are informed welcomes Walkers. I suggest they equip themselves with crash bags similar to those found in cars. To members of Parish and District Councils I say to you if the pavemants in Ilkley were covered by Health and Safety Regulations parts of the town would be closed by now. Why were perfectly good large paving stones replaced by un-stable mock stone blocks? Someone has the answer and I and the many folk who tumble would like to know.
Welcome To Walkers If They Dare....
