last night i was told it was going to be a housing development/ flats, but the fellow who bid did say tesco, so i am more than confused!!! . com!! we will be finding out shortly!

hi folks, after some extensive digging the use tesco is planning for the malt is as a tesco training centre hope this helps

A village amenity lost for ever. Still better than it becoming derelict I suppose. Maybe they will shop for their produce locally to feed the trainees!!!

A bat survey was being carried out tonight at the malt, the officer doing the survey catagoricly denied it had been purchased by tesco and said it was for a residential development.
Which seems more probable, a resedential development in a desirable area or a training centre miles away from main road and rail links?

Either!
You've only to look to Weston.
Unless it's moved there was a training centre there for one of the breweries.
I hardly think The Malt is miles away from either main road or rail links.
