Is there no end to the deliveries of plastic bags put through our letter boxes, they are endless, I have had four of the darned things this week alone.

My automatic reaction on getting them is the dustbin & if I wish to donate I will go to the charity shop paradise Otley & donate to my favourite shop.

They must deliver thousands of the things & it must cost a fortune to get the bags made, organised & delivered & what is the response from Joe Public my guess is is as low as 5% & i'll leave it to you to work out how many are binned or used for rubbish disposal.

If a box was left at the end every street with the bags in a week later they may find the odd one or two was taken to collect pet dog donations.

You may think that I am biased but I class it as an invasion of my privacy although I do donate to my favourite charities on a regular basis cash wise.

not really sure how it constitutes an invasion of privacy - however it is a complete pain to get so many so often, not exactly environmentally friendly either

Yes the one that really annoyed me this week was the Breast Cancer one, which was complete with their logo of pink ribbon.
However when you looked closely it wasn't the UK charity but to help women in Lithuania, which is fine if thats the particular charity you support, but many people would have thought it was for Breast Cancer UK.
Always check the validity of these things, and to be honest I welcome them because it saves me buying liners for my waste bins.

I used to get really annoyed by them and put them straight in the bin, until I realised I could save a fortune on kitchen bin bags. Now I get annoyed when I run out! :)

If I could get mine redirected to your residence I would with great pleasure.

LOL! They're also great for collecting all your plastic bottles to take to Menston tip for recycling seen as Bradford Council don't collect. And, if you carefully cut the end of the bag the bag comes in, you can use it to collect dog poo from around Burley's parks!
You can also cut the bags open to create a sheet. These can then be stuck together with masking or gaffer tape and used to cover up the eyesaw that is Burley Co-op. If only they didn't have holes in them, you could inflate them and make a raft to get across the river Wharfe, which would save repairing the stepping stones or building a bridge too... :-P
