Well it's not looking too promising at the moment is it? All I'm going to say is start getting ready to say bye bye to the library as I have seen on another source that our councillors may have told a few fibs and you could also be saying bye bye to the co-op as another consequence, well done if this happens, putting about 15 staff and many paper kids out of work. OR we could see them move to the outskirts of the village to another site which would Definately take business away from all 'local' traders. Bravo!

An innaccurate response - please look around this forum and website - the Library is safe as stated by Head of libraries (Kitwood) at the neighburhood forum meeting on this application and separetely by BMDC from FOI request. The current CO-OP store is very profitable as stated by CO-OP (Ryan)at same meeting - so is highly unlikely to close. They may well look at alternative sites for their expansion - but they must improve the quality of the application on all fronts as clearly the authority consultee responses on the planning portal are very damning.

A newspaper article from the local paper mid july time that my friend has given me listing all Libraries within the BMDC area that are listed as under threat, Burley being one of these. I am trying to scan the article on here but my Technological skills are lacking and i haven't got the foggiest how to do it

Click on "Reply" on the bottom right below the the message you wish to reply to then write your reply.
Then look below left to "Attachments" & presuming that you have already scanned the newspaper article into "Pictures" or "Desktop" click on "Browse" find the article & click on it then click "Attach This File". Done.
Failing that a little further down under "Attach This File" is (Try our advanced uploader which supports multiple file uploading (modern browser required).
