Phone rang out at Palok on Sat night when I was poised with the takeaway menu in my hand. Drove past on Sun and all the windows had closed curtained or sheets up at them. Presume they're not doing a refurb so soon after they opened so can only think they've gone under. Anyone know?

The Palok sign above the door says Red Chilli opening soon.

Ooooh..... (I was driving as I passed otherwise I'm sure I'd have been more observant!) Shame about Palok, though Moghul is good, we were spoilt for choice, glad it's not going to be another empty property ....

Really pleased its still the same people running it. We always found them very friendly and the food is top class!

Yeah I wondered if it was the same people, red chilli sign says it'll be indian and bangladeshi, same as Palok, so I thought it was a bit of a coincidence. Wonder why it needed sprucing so soon though...

Pleased though, as I too have always found them lovely people and the food spot on ....

I've always thought they were very friendly too - not sure I understand why they'd want a rebrand so soon though - wasn't aware of any problems with the Palok brand.

Found the food alternately very good and average, but never bad. Also never had a bad stomach afterwards.

Always found the welcome very warm and friendly without fail.

Wish them the besst of luck with the revised version... And we will be going there again once they re-open...
