hi just been away and come back to hear the meeting didnt go down well. The lady who stood up to say she didnt want a coop has just made me laugh in shame for her. she went into the store the very next day to PAY HER PAPER BILL and opologised to staff, she didnt mean what she said!!! hahahahaha! I think i live on a different planet these days.The lady with red hair who didnt want a coop lives in menston!! Could anyone explain to me why someone would do this?? what an Idiot.I think everyone on here would agree you dont say something so important then opologise for saying it.You dont go to another village and have an opinion on a different village from where you live. TOTAL CONFUSION.....LOOK FORWARD TO HEARING FROM YOU ALL. home sweet home.Thankyou for putting the update on from the gazette.

i think once again you have the wrong end of the stick!!! i was behind this customer on my return and she was in the queue!!! i was with suitcase popping in for milk on my return and the lady just came out with this. So please do not tie me with gossip mongers or confidentiality!!! to be fair there hasnt been much of this on here.Not many have had respecy for others or have been confidential on most matters so please!!!! I was there and it made me laugh!! You are all a set of numptys again been very presumptuous...and haughty. you obviously presume i work there by that comment. I just know my stuff unlike some. How is it you cant make a comment on here without some one been protentious!! this is why people are reluctant and lack enthusiasm to come onto this site. You once again have it wrong!

I wasn't at the meeting as couldn't get there, but it makes me laugh at the thought of people from another village saying what they do or do not want in this village.. Why does it matter to them if we have a co-op and where it is etc?

And as for the other lady - 2 faced, springs to mind....

I may not like the premises where the co-op is, as it is very run down compared to other co-ops, but I have always found the staff friendly and helpful, but there again I don't walk in and growl at them or be rude etc, I treat them as I would like them to treat me - as I do with every person I meet.. its just being polite, and they are polite in return..

Anyway back to the OP - thanks for that bit of information, very interesting.

Exactly what was in my mind! thankyou. You know where im coming from. I was alittle surprised and really couldnt help but laugh, as i was thinking... had i heard this right! I to have not had a problem with the staff. They do there job in difficult circumstances, and are always polite and helpful. I do agree that the shop is a disgrace and looks shocking but it isnt the fault of staff, so thankyou bikerman. Alot of people are reading this forum now and alot are just doing it quietly and not making comments on here. They have found some users rude and offensive. Shame on them really as this is all going to come out at some point.I love a good debate and this site could be used for so much more than it is already.

The fact is that it is easy to think that you work for the coop simply from the posts you submit.
Let me give a few examples;
You know the footfall, profit and wasted profit, how they cooperate with other traders, and seem to know a lot about their staff and customers.OK so maybe you just keep your ears to the ground but it sounds as though you spend an awful lot of time chatting/gossiping with the staff, which is your perogative.
But, please dont accuse me of gossip and insinuate that you never do this, when you seem to know what colour hair a woman at the meeting had, (although what that has to do with anything I have no idea) where she lived and what she said and this is a meeting that by your own admission you didn't attend.
I couldn't care less where you work, it is as they say no skin off my nose, but it does grate rather when you accuse people of being rude and offensive and then go on to be rude to other people yourself.

Agreed Maryg - there is a distinct air of desparation about the way Peeky trawls all the threads on the Coop Lib pact in an effort to have the last word and correct everyone with "their version of the facts". Definetely on a narrow mission for the Co-op and have no consideration for any wider impact. As long as they get a bigger more profitable supermarket to hell with the consequences - They just don't care !

I could tell you the footfall of most of the business stores in burley from a survey carried out. I could tell you most of the people that shop in burley and basket spend, another survey. This is just another riduculous load of blubber from you as you think we are all gossipers like yourself. I SEE MOST OF THESE PEOPLE IN MY OFFICE. i dont have time to stand and gossip. Has for been rude you have had your time on here to put across your thoughts and dont get me wrong, freedom of speach is great, but its always been one sided and you have been rude. well thankyou and i opologise for getting your name wrong.Great to have some new people on here. Dont let people put you off your say, please give your thoughts it is a Forum for burley residents and i feel we should not be rediculed or have people giving back rude comments because they dont agree with what you write.I may sound alittle hacked off sometimes but its good for the soul hahahaha!I just cannot bear to see vigilante type behaviour, so many have been patronised on here for just saying something. Please get your friends and family on. it would be good to have a debate without been accused of gossip. whoooooooo betide anyone who likes the coop. IF you do then you obviously work for them or stand gossiping to the staff for hours!! hahahahahahaha!!! You have to laugh or you would just get so frustrated, some people will not come on here now, they are afraid of the comments given back. what sort of a forum is this!!
