Just read this in the Gazette, Article

The new Local Development Framework (LDF), the council’s official planning policy, is going to recommend the building of 500 houses in Burley-in-Wharfedale. Menston gets 900, and Ilkley 1300!

It will be interesting to see if they suggest exactly where these houses are going to go, and what infrastructure improvements they propose to go with them....

I live in Despair of Bradford Council.

Its as if they create a bubble away from reality. The article is very interesting, to quote:

Bradford Council planning strategy manager, Andrew Marshall, said there were several stages of consultation to come

In other words - WE are going to build them. We will pay lip service to the existing community. We dont care

They'd better care!

Fools if they decide the flood plain and bigger fools if they decide farm land. It's fifty years since Beeching axed our railway system and folk were quick to build on former railway land. Forward a few years and how we could do with that land now. I predict the same could happen if our agricultural land is taken for housing. One of these days in the not too distant future Britain will have to start providing for itself again and if farm land is lost all the factory farming in the country won't be enough to provide food for the country.
