Is there a walk to Ilkley that avoids the A65 road, but also does not involve the walk all the way up the hill from the Sun Lane level crossing to the new Clevedon retirement homes?

I've just tried to find a route FROM Ilkley which does not involve climbing up the road all the way past the Cow & Calf, and found the route across the golf course, but that still brought me out above the Celevedon.

Is there anything that is an easier walk, glorious as those climbs are?
