Just a quick message to make everybody aware that the 2nd running of the Burley Moor Run takes place on the 12th November 2011 details and entry form can be found on the home page of this site.

Last years running of the event attracted competitors from the village and surrounding area and was a absolute success enjoyed by all that entered (Thanks to the nice weather we had as well).

We managed to attract 150 runners last year and this year we are looking to double that number and have 300 hundred entrants. You may be a seasoned competitor,fun runner or just run for excercise if so get your entry form in as this race is for you.

Chris Hill puts a lot of time and effort into organising this event which is part of the Burley Festival so lets get behind him and support this race. If you don't want to run you can show your support by offering to marshal the event on the day.

just to say thank you Mr W for advertising the run, we hope that everyone entering will enjoy the day and maybe if it is your first experience of off road running that you enjoy it sufficiently to come back next year. If the weather is good the views from the top are definitely worth entering, you can see York Minster on a clear day. I will be running and hope to see more than the 80 village runners who entered last year. I can guarantee that i will be the slowest, but hope to get round before the pubs shut on sunday.

Just got back from moor run. What a great if a little splodgy event. Challenging course but well organized and again with a good community spirit. Well done to Chris and his team. Bk

Splodgy?! Just a bit, but a great day though. Does anyone know where to find the results? I saw a few people give up as well (it's a tough course)-how many didn't make it?
