I certainly do ! - a total eyesore and completely out of character - isn't this a conservation area ? and presumably the owners of the house have knowledge / involvement

Intolerable
unconscionable:
They should not be allowed to use screws!
Or bolts!
Quite acceptable to put it on wheels though!
Hence
A car advertising Go Carting parked for 3 years.
A trailer advertising a wardrobe manufacturer in Keighley.
A pickup parked long term advertising iron railings.
Two trailers advertising hAshland Fencing.
The Spicey still has plastic windows
and there are 2 advertising hoardings for a local plaggy window supplier.
The Coop is still an eye-sore with it's in yer face addies
But has been rewarded for it's bad behavior.

there's a very old saying that says two wrongs don't make a right
I cannot believe that it is legal to simply attach advertisements to garden walls in (I believe) a conservation area - if I am wrong please advise me and I will stand corrected
If not then, despite the attempts at humour, it really is something that should be taken seriously - unless we want to see our village defaced by every tom dick or harry on the make plastering the place with adverts - any views Matt?

Irony, yes.
I despise all these hoardings.
But they are everywhere!
The bigger picture needs addressing.
But nobody cares.

As far as I can see on a quick read through, the poster does not fall into any of the categories for "deemed consent" and needs planning permission, which I doubt it would get.

Perhaps it was the local vigilante
who appears to be taking matters into
his own hands
Over on Bypass West; !
The wardrobe ad was capsized twice
then decapitated last week.
Last night the Karting car
was moved 35 degrees
and had it's windows smashed.
It's in Brothertons scrap yard.
Two eyesores removed,
Hope this lawlessness continues
Since the planners, Police and highways
turn a blind eye.

I believe you will find the Highways Section do remove hoardings, especially of the banner style. Some were removed in the Ilkley area and vandals were blamed. It turned out to be the Highways Section. Signs fixed to posts or walls do need planning permission irrespective of whether they be in a conservation area or not. At least that is what BMDC Planning Officers told me.

or smash up cars,
vandals do that
BDMC take taxes
pretending they are enforced
by magistrates courts
when in fact
a huge fraud is perpetrated
by an abuse of the justice system
BDMC are 'Mr Minimum'
they take your hard earned cash and
give you little in return.
So illegal advertising flourishes
in the dale
whilst lazy politcians
and bogus officials
take your money
and look the other way.
Many have complained about the advertising on the bypass
I challenge you S-S
if you have the highways ear
eradicate the A65 of advertising
and I will donate £50
to the charity of your choice.
